I think they turned out real nice. I hand-stitched each one out of flannel and stuffed with 100% poli-fill, as well as, safety eyes and noses makes them kid-proof. lol

Here is Kitty-Kat. I think a little tweaking is needed, but over-all I am pleased with the outcome. 

John Deere & BFF Bears

I just finished this custom teddi-bear for a lady. She wanted the John Deere theme. I am so pleased she likes how it turned out. I will be tweaking a smaller bear for baby Kinsley to go with it. The material is lambskin fleece, and man oh man is it soft!

The BFF bear is for my Grand daughter. Making matching PJs for this one.

I have all of my Jaay Bears finished, and my daughter is hard at work knitting the hats and scarves.
Hope to post them for sale before month's end. I will be starting work on Christmas PJ's very soon. Will be posting pics so if you like them and want them in time for Christmas, you can order them as well!

These are the PJs I made to go with the bear. A long sleeve tshirt using the fabric to embelish a sugar skull on the tshirt and cropped bottoms with bottom slit and bow accent.

What a difference a day makes! 

After a whole lot of tweaking, I think I'm finally happy with Jaay Bear. It is pretty kewl creating something from pattern to end result. I think she turned out pretty good. Her arms and legs move too! 

This was the first one I put together using fleece. It was much cheaper to go through the trial and error stages as opposed to if I used fax fur.

Quilting is a big deal right now in the sewing world. Once upon a time you went to a fabric store and purchased material you saw and touched, by the foot/yard. Today, material is sold by the Fat Quarter(Picture a square cut in 4).If you went to ebay right now and searched for 'fat quarter', you'd probably find something like this....
                                                             
 This is called a Fat Quarter Bundle. You see the 2 fabrics on top are what I used to make the above sample. I bought this by winning the bid for approx $10 shipping included.  Since I bid and won on this, I've learned a great deal about the 'game'. This wasn't that great of a deal after all, but I don't regret the purchase, I definitely didn't overpay. So, I guess that's something :)
The next week or so I'll be playing with patterns in search of 3or4 pajama options for my Christmas Line. I'll be using flannel/flannelette unless you want a custom order using other fabric types. My Jaay Bears in these 4 colors; Camel, Black, White, Brown.

My daughter messaged me from work all excited to tell me her boss let her have a whole stack of these boxes. The perfect size for a JaayBear wearing a Christmas toque (hat) and scarf, AND a matching hat in 'human' size ;)  Also, the next size up just in case you want to order two bears! The cost to ship these will be extremely minimal, which is majorly impressive given the outrageous shipping costs today.  

Okay, it's almost 4am Why does my brain get all creative in the middle of the night, It doesn't matter what I'm doing, blogging, writing....sewing..... *yawn.

 Here's Jaay Bear. A little closer to what I had envisioned for my very first teddy bear pattern. I am pretty stoked with how it's coming together. I have to remind myself it is going to look sooooo different when made with faux fur, even though it is a very short pile. It is soooo soft and soooo shiny. You'll get to choose from four colors and if you want......
You can choose the fabric for pjs for Jaay and her new caretaker.

I used to sew a great deal. Pajamas were a staple at Christmas time. I always made sure my kids wore new PJs on Christmas Eve so they'd be ready for picture time on Christmas morning.
I remember a few years ago, one of my boys pouting he never got pajamas anymore. I was shocked, pleasantly so.  I really thought they'd outgrown the tradition.

So, this year I will be taking orders for pajamas, whether you want a bear or not is entirely up to you. Here are a few fabric choices.

Even pajama pants with pockets because my boys like them that way.


 Flannel nightgowns for those of us who still love to curl up in one on a chilly winter's night. My best friend will be applauding this one. I made these for her a couple of years back and I think she's due for a few new ones.








 I've even remembered our little doggies.
 I'm only a one woman show,
so only making the one size in a stretch material,
I have yet to choose.

Diva Dodo and friends

Introducing.... Diva Dodo

I changed up my original Dodo bird a little . 

The tail now resembles real feathers.

I cut out feather shapes and stiffed them up by adding a felt backing. 

Add in a few pink feathers to diva-fy it, and here she is! 

You will notice the feet are a little bigger. This is so it stands a little better.

I'm working on two teddy bears using these fabrics. The black swatch will be accented using blue and the space theme will be accented in white.
I'm also working on two bunnies. One in a dark brown and one in a tan color.
Last but not least, an OWL pillow with all the kinks worked out.
